@ FWM: I took a look at your channel. cool stuff there. I can see you used to keep guppies in the 40 gal, did you get sick of them or something?
Funny how you tried to get the pleco to go on your hand but the plec was not having any of that xD

Yeah he does let me hand feed him. ya and um my guppies were reproducing so much i took them to a petstore and some guy gave me 3 tigerbarbs and 1 clown loach for ten guppies

Random Thought: My water has been abnormally clear the last two days. Small victory for me.

I've been having cloudy water issues ever since I changed to sand, then had my filter die, so I'm pretty glad its back to being nice looking.

Other random thought:
Since he's about eaten all my algae, will my whiptail eat veggies like my pleco did?

Most plecos are wood eaters. I wood (heh) assume he'd eat veggies too.

I checked the "Urgent" thread and your Nitrate reading isn't there nor is the method you used for testing and I am sure that is what the others are asking for - ammonia, nitrite,

Is it normal for my pleco to spend a lot of time at the top of he water . hes not breathing air or anything he just sits up there any time i walk by he comes down

a 19" pleco isn't hugely uncommon. They can reach 24", and I've always wanted to see one that big!
