hey kero, welcome to MFT! i would cut back on the water changes. 20-30% is alot specially on a smaller 5 gallon tank. the water changes could be stressing them out. it could be recovering from giving birth. just give it some time and leave her be so if she's stressed, you're not adding to it...

my preference would be keeping the bettas in their own tank. but if you do want to keep them together, i would go with 7 to help disperse the attention. :)

sorry to hear. can you post some tank specs? how long have you had it? i don't think i've heard of anyone getting a fish disease. just make sure you don't have any cuts on your hands.

think your best bet is some small schooling fishes. there are many types of tetras out there besides the typical neon tetras. maybe the penguin tetras?

some LFS will take them. you might get some store credit sometimes too.

i would give it a little bit more time. he could be just acclimating to his new place. most fishes do that too so i assume a frog would too. keep us updated!

ended up mixing my own salt. it was a bit hard to find time to go to the LFS to buy water so to keep up on the water changes, i bought some salt and have been doing 15-20gallon water changes every few days. i also cleared up alot of algae growth in the sump and in the tank. having issues with...

iv'e kept black widow tetras that were more on the aggressive side. unfortunately i think being a smaller tank doesn't give them enough spacing. you should either find a new home for the gourami...or hey...get a bigger tank! :)
