    New Beta questions

welcome to MFT! it could be that he's still getting used to his new environment. if so, maybe leave the lights off or cut down the hours to see if he's less skittish when the lights are off?

    New 29

otto cats are great. small but are pretty cool in that size tank. cory cats like capslock recommends would be great for bottom section of your tank. school of tetras are always my favorite. and would stay away from those 'neon' injected fishes that i've been seeing at petsmart lately.

    CAPSLOCK's 75g mixed reef

try some Nassarius Snails for some interesting moments whenever you feed the tank. they come out of the sand like zombies whenever it's feeding time. tank looks like it's off to a great start. once you start filling it up and letting things grow, i think it'll look great with your rockwork...

i'm sure you acclimated the fish fine. wonder if it's some kind of swim bladder issue? happens in goldfish more often but could happen to a molly too?

    What Did You Buy Recently?

i bought L brackets and connected them together to form a U and then attached to the canopy and slid the LED lights into there. i should prob put 2 more on longer side to make sure if an earthquake happens it won't just slide off.

Starting my first saltwater tank :)

good size tank! i would pass on the cleaner shrimp unless you it to be a tasty expensive snack for your eel, lionfish, etc. :) anemones...you'll have to worry about them stinging your fishes if they get close....i would vote no on like a carpet anemone but you might be okay with a bubble...

Will Different Types/Colors of Platy Breed?

i'd move them already so you don't have to worry about them giving birth when you're not ready. breeding box should have enough room for them. good luck!

    What Did You Buy Recently?

my lights were due to be replaced (T5 bulbs) and it was like almost $100 each year to replace them so I've been eyeing to go back to LED's and been looking at the Hydra52HD. super pricey but save electricity and don't have to worry about changing bulbs each year was enticing. so been watching it...
