Just because you use RO doesnt mean you wont have phosphates. I would try to run some carbon and maybe a phosphate remover to see if it helps.

What do your params look like now?

Could be a bacteria bloom also.

Clowns in a pair

Thats not true. You can keep clowns by themselves, or in a pair. But usually more than 2 gets tough because two of them get aggressive towards the third. Sorry to hear about all the troubles you have had. I had troubles at first but it was good old Chicago tap water that killed everything in my tank. Now I use R/O with the salt pre-mixed and it is doing great....

I changed my water to RO too, but that didnt help.
Clowns are fine on their own.
Im not sure what happened to mine but a few days before she died she wasnt eating and staying in the same place. I tried a w/c but that didnt help
