oscar and a puffer....

ok i put my puffer fish and my baby oscar(maybe the size of two ping pong balls....into a 15gl tank......they stayed away from each other....but im worried that if i leave the room...one will attack the other.....cuz it looks like the oscar is afriad of the puffer....but the puffer wont attack the oscar cuz hes bigger then him.....but not that much bigger.....so whats going on and what do u think...??

Not a good idea at all, they're not compatible. You need to keep them in their own tanks, and read up on suitable tankmates for each (for when you get larger tanks).

Just something I noticed, this topic has been posted in three different areas (brackish / (here) / and freshwater. Perhaps you would get the most consistant advise regarding this situation if you kept in in one thread?

You might run into some problems salt, depending on what kind of puffer you have it will need salt, oscars generally do not.

Puffers will attack fish larger than themselves
