My 8 months old Nano tank has quickly become invaded with what I believe are brown feather duster worms. Maybe not, but from I have read it seems that what I am hosting. My tank was thriving with gorgeous, but still small, soft corals -- but soon these little brown feathery booogers began multiplying and latching onto everything -- rocks, sand, and the corals.

Since, the corals have diminished in size and one beautiful white coral seems to have died. My LFS owner thought that the worms were zapping all the nutrients in the water from the corals. That made sense. He says just scrape off what you can and increase the coral feeding.

Does this sound right? Is there anything that will help eat up these feather dusters? Is scraping off the best approach?

Thanks for your recommendations.
