Yeah there's a pet store near my house but they sell any of the nearly 300 rare types of plecos   They only have the commons.  It is sometimes hard to get rid of a very large pleco because the petstores won't take them in. :(

$388 - $688 arowanas go all the time. We are located right next to a chinese cultural/shopping center, so asian businessmen come into our store all the time, and some buy arowanas. They are also fascinated by reef tanks :)

arrowanas are really neat, they get rather large also. the species really make a difference though. the silver arrowanas from the amazon can get up to 3' in the aquarium, and the asian types can reach up to 2'. thats what you are paying for. also, they come in very different colors.
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/9665/buddy.html there's a good website to see some pictures. i can surf around on there for a while sometimes.  8)
