the story I heard was that a gas leak caused an explosion that took out literally half the island as you can see from the picture. Luckily nobody was hurt but I bet the person who caused it isn’t too welcome by his neighbors. If you’re asking how an explosion can take out half the island, notice how small the actual island is. Wish I had the actual new story but that’s all I have for now. If anyone has more information, let me know. |

The blast caused an inferno that leapt from hut to hut, taking less than ten minutes to sweep across Soledad Miria.
Many of the 1,014 inhabitants dived into the sea or took to fishing boats to escape. More than a third – 348 – were injured but, amazingly, no one died. ” Further googling descovered no additional information.
time to rebuild perhaps it will improve looks over there. Lots of tin shack houses in that area suprising how poor it is but how many people like to visit on cruises there. way of life is sure different.
Woah, thats horrible. At first I had no idea what I was looking at, then I read about the explosion. I feel sorry for the people that live there.
