Java Moss

 Thumbnail

A super hardy aquarium plant that grows onto rocks, driftwood and anything it can attach itself too. It grows easily in dim light and likes warm temperature. It doesn’t require any special attention as other aquatic plants which makes for a good starting choice for beginners.

Along with being easy to keep and use, it’s also commonly used to raise baby fish to protect them from larger fish. It provides hiding spaces for them.

it grows anywhere! it grows so fast in my tank that i have to trim it and take it to my local LFS for some store credit. You should check with your LFS if they take java moss for store credit. a great way to save money too.

super hardy! really easy to keep! every planted tank should have some java moss. you can spread it around driftwood and it’ll attach to it and start growing. no special lighting needed. it’s pretty tough too.
