White Algae help

I have a 70 gallon ciclid tank with no plants in it. A white algae that looks webbed and almost like coral but flat on the rocks that has popped up in the last day or two. The algae is spreading like crazy and I don't know how to get rid of it...any suggestions??? Pictures are attached.

Hmm, sorry im of no help, but that's kinda cool looking. Have you tried a search either in the forums or on the web? I wouldn't even know what to call it for search terms, but you could try "coral-like white freshwater growth"

There is no algae that is white.

It may be a slime mold. Check out this link for closer pictures and compare to yours:

I would say its Physarum polycephalum. Research this in google, I am sure there is info there.
