When do I change my water?

I just added 22 lbs. of LR to my 20 gal. tank today. I searched this site, and it may be because my eyes and brain are shot, but I don't know when I'm supposed to change my water??? The rock I procured is "partially cured", whatever that means. So, when do I change my water through each step (cycle, clean-up crew, fish/coral) and what %?

There are a couple of schools of thought on this. Some people say change the water as nitrite levels get higher to preserve life while others say just let the nitrite spike. The second option will generally be quicker. From there, you just want to start doing regular water changes.
