What Salt To Use For Brackish?

Hello, My Green Spotted puffers are getting fairly large (older) and I have heard that they need brackish water to survive during adulthood.. I went to the pet store the other day and the woman gave me API, Aquarium Salt.

Is this the right stuff for brackish (API, Aquarium Salt)?

If not, what do I need for Brackish water?

What is API, Aquarium Salt used for?

Just read that API Aquarium Salt is not the right stuff to use! God Dang PetCo employees!! So, what is API AS used for then?

I like 'Instant Ocean' brand, but it can be pricey. Lots of choices, just look for 'marine salt' at a fishstore. Better to go to a store that sells saltwater fish.

Aquarium salt is used for treating disease in tanks mostly. I've never used it in 30+ years though. Some stores say to always have some in a freshwater tank. To each his own. I keep planted tanks and the salt it not wanted by most plants.

I like the instant ocean as well, that is what I use to. OC is right on the API stuff you have, I have never used it either in more then 30 years.
