what is your favorite cichlid?

 oscars, angels, africans? I have decided to go with cichlids instead of bluegills because I can't find enough information about how to take care of them. :'(

How big is the tank gonna be ??? If it's big then you should go with a pair of turquoise severums, male and female. That is if you have a bigger aquarium though. For somthing smaller I like the convicts. ;D

i agree with discusJoe
the discus are truely the king of the tank
but if i had to pick a non discus cichlid, i would have to go with the jewel cichlid

I vote for Discus. My other favorite cichlid is blue ram.
