water weight

I am drawing up the plans for a stand to hold three twenty gal tanks. They will be placed side by side, 2 long, and a 20 high in the middle. I have read that water weighs roughly 8 to 10 pounds per gal. ( I would weigh some my self, but with my wife, I have no bathroom scales!LOL) Is that about right?

water weighs 8 lbs/gal. That doesn't include any of the gravel, or other decorations. Most people just average a tank weight out to about 10 lbs/gal.
