Got my L114 'leopard cactus pleco' just over 6 months ago.
He survived being in a tank with salvini---including spawning salvini with fry ---convicts, an oscar, and most recently my 38 gal. planted community tank.

I've been baffled by his lack of growth throughout this time, so I decided he may not be getting enough food due to all the competition around him. Moved him to my 20 gal. long tank yesterday, and that's when I noticed he had a rather sizeable chunk missing from his mouth---probably caused by the breeding rainbow cichlids in the 38 gal.

Needless to say, I found him sitting in one spot on the gravel today...
He had moved earlier, but was definitely dead when I checked on him later today.

The following pic is from the end of June.

R.I.P., little guy.

Aw thats a shame BV!
That pleco was a BEAUT!
My common pleco (who I've had for over a year now actually  ) Has only grown to about 5" . I got him at like 2" . I think plecos are normally slow growers anyway.
