suitable food?

i was looking into raising my own guppies for my clown knife. is this a suitable food source? if not, does any one have any recomendations?

Its OK, but guppies are probably not the fish you want to use because the babies take SO long to get big enough to use as food. Another livebearer would be good. Its better to raise your own feeders than to buy them at the store, as long as you take good care of them like any other tank, disease free and good water quality.

ok, how bout mollies? they bred as an accident as a kid, and someone else on the breeder forum said they would multiply and grow faster.
