I went away for Canada day, so I was gone from Sunday morning til tuesday afternoon, I fed all my fish well the morning I left. I didn't expect the temperature to raise for 28 degrees celsius in my room, and my tank read 86 (farenheit i think) and that is the max my thermometer goes up to. When I came home I found my betta Hae Ru, his color all faded dead, and the platy dead. I think my pleco was feeding on them, I am so upset by this, Hae Ru was the best fish I ever had.
This has really killed my confidence in fish keeping :( My tank looks so bare with A small pleco, 2 neon tetra and 2 female platies

Sorry to hear that...but don't give up. Stuff like that happens and all you can do is learn from it.
I recently had to kill one of my tetras cuz it just wasn't gonna live much longer. Today when I came back from three days of hiking, I discovered that another one has the same problem. He's gonna have to go too soon. :(
But that leaves more room for you to explore other fish options.
I ended up with a puffer cuz Kissyboots (the fish) died.
Hope everything else is ok. :)
