So I have a blue Hap and yellow lab if they decided to make babies would they babies come out with color? I was reading that if you mix the same genus but different fish that the babies would come out ugly everytime. That can't be true, can it?

Its very frowned upon to try to interbreed species like this. These two are not very far apart species wise so you might be able to. I have sunshine peacocks that had one baby fry that is all dark with no yellow at all yet. The others where all normal, I kept the dark one because no one wanted him. Its been almost 4 months now and he is still ugly compared to his siblings, so even the same breed can have uglies to I guess. Who knows what your two will make? Either way I think my "ugly" sunshine peacock is pretty Kewl! And no one else has one but me, well, as far as I know. LOL
