Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that Jess.
This is the very thing I've been so paranoid about with Triton as well...he's such an avid jumper. I've already covered every gap along the back of his tank with duct tape, but I think I'll be getting some velcro straps to keep the lids down too. R.I.P. Bodacious.
