neddlenose gars ?

what would be good fish to put with a couple of needlenose gars, fish that will eat the same food the gars will eat and wont get bigger than the gars, but also wont get eatin by the gars thank for all the help *celebrate

I have mine in with my Arowanna, Red Devil, 2 convicts, and an Eel. They all get along, as long as they're fed well. *BOUNCINGS

the arowna wouldnt get along with the needle nose. the arowana would eat it when it out grew the needle nose. As i said before they arent really a gar so they only get about 1foot. A oscar might eat it because of how skinny it is ANd it will outgrow a new needle nose. I would say african knife fish, or other small preds.

Yeah, I have no problems at all with the Aro, and Needlenose, as long as they have enough room, they should be fine. But like I said too, you have to make sure you feed them good.
My Aro, is about 18 inches, and my Needlenose is about 10 inches, no problems!!!!
Good luck to you on whatever you do, they are cool little guys, especailly when they eat.
