my poor Kona...

when i woke up this morning, i found one of my younger pups, Kona, clinging to life by a thread. doing what i could i bathed her and comforted her, waiting for the Vet to open(30 mins). about 10 minutes before the Vet opened, she took her last small breaths(im not going to describe it, but it wasnt good) and died in my arms.

i know this isnt a dog forum, but shes worth an obituary.

RIP Kona Kekai. I love you, and im sorry i couldnt save you.

Oh no! I was just looking at pictures of your dogs the other day...my cousin just got a new puppy and named her Kona...I was going to tell you about that. Something great about an animal named after coffee

she was just under one year old. i dont know what was wrong. when i described what happened to the vet she told me about a new virus(sorry i cant remember the name, im scatterbrained right now) thats supposed to be worse then parvo, and told me it was probably that.

dogs are the hardest pets to lose. they become a member of the family and its more like your brother died or something rather then a pet. she looked beutiful

Sry to hear that Loach......i had a very similar event happen to me a few weeks ago with my dog, lost him to Cancer. Very heart breaking.
