My Jack Dempsey tank

I have 5 Jacks', all about 2 inches long right now. As soon as two of them pair up, the other three will be returned to the LFS. Let me know what you think!!

OH WOW. THis has to be one of the best cichlids tanks i have seen. GREAT SA bio-type. Wow, wow wow.....that is perfect.

Is that a rock background? How many Lbs of rocks is that?! Wow.

Its a picture on the back, but I layed flat rocks along the back to add a little more texture to it.

I think it perfect the way it is, My jack dempsey never swam around the tank and he had lots of open space. He just sat at the bottom in a cave. He came out to feed and scare away other fish but thats it. i think they need the reensurance of the surroundings, keeps them happy IMO.

cool tank, those jacks are livin sweet hehehe. and the flat rocks on the back mix very well with the printed backing. yes,yes very nice.

The tank is awesome. I don't know what fishydude22 is talkin' about, he probably doesn't know what the hell he is talkin about either. FYI, driftwood is a natural in SA Cichlid natural homes, and also maintains proper PH for those guys.

really good looking tank, I like it a lot.

I've used that printed background before, the one with river boulders and crypto balansae, you've done a great job of blending the rockwork with it. The only thing I would recommend is to obscure the filter inlet and outlets, I would even live with the thermometer sticker on the front!

Wow, that is really something - I'm envious! HOwever I can't see any fish in the tank, although that's probably due to the size of the picture.

You could sell postcards of that tank, it's a work of art...IMO
