Thanks for the nice comments.
The stand came with the tank, I bought the canopy and stained and polyurethaned to match.

The 2 plants in the front are Lilaeopsis- (Lilaeopsis novaezelandiae) or Microswords

Tank has been running for about 2-1/2 weeks

you sure? I have an aqua-glo package right in front of me, and it states that both the aqua-glo and power-glos are 18,000K. And I thought the power-glo gave off a blueish tinge since it was meant for marine tanks. I use an aqua-glo in my 20 and it doesn't make the tank bluish, just brightens the colours of the fish.

Tank is looking good, just needs time to grow in :)

Again, The 2 plants in the front are Lilaeopsis- (Lilaeopsis novaezelandiae) or Microswords
they look bushy, but are actually lots of tiny swords, they clump
---------------------------------------

I took the bulb info right off the package...It is 18,000K
so there... ;-P
it might look bluer if that was the only bulb but, I have 2 other full spectrum bulbs.

the Microswords grow pretty fast, not nearly as fast as some of the other plants, but they are growing.

However, the loaches are always chasing around them and they do get eaten and uprooted by some of the fish.

I find pieces of the microswords floating at the top all the time.
