I bought a pregnant molly and a male, the female either reabsorbed the brood or ate all her babies because one day she was miraculously skinny and no babies were found, its been about 3 or more months, and my molly has yet to become pregnant again. is there anything I can do to help??

feed them well, keep water clean. try feeding live foods. nothing else you can do..

feed them some nice meaty foods I.E. bloodworms which work really well.

If you want the babies to live, provide them with a nice place to hide. I have hornwort across the top of my 55gal and I find new babies every day, just about.

My balloon and lyretail babies seem to do really well in java moss down at the bottom of the tank. They graze and hide in it.

I found fry today... they LOOK like Molly's and are eating fish flakes... They are about a 1/8 to 1/4 inch long, are they new? I tend to think they are the survivors from a birth a while back... I just didn't see them til today... I have video... please help this Grandma that had a tank for the grandkids to enjoy!! YouTube - WE HAVE FRY!!!
