Looking for hood/top for tank

This is a strange size tank - or at least it seems to be because I can't find a hood, or glass top or light strips that are the correct size.

The dimensions would be about 28" long by 15" wide

This tank was given to me, and the person said it was a breeder tank. All I know is that it's great for my plants - because it's only about 12'' deep.

Currently I have it extremely jury-rigged, with sheets of clear plastic overlaying each other and a couple of 18" strip lights spread out on top (trying to get the most light as possible)

Anyone got something that would work a little better?

just go to your local glass store and have them custom cut a top for you, or build a cool looking wooden hood

I made my own wood canopy. It wasn't that hard. It's not quite square, but it fits, and it's extremely functional (holds my 96w ahsupply.com kit) There's are lots of plans online if you want to try. You can get a 55w kit for more light, as they are slightly smaller than 24". Good luck!
