How many hours of light do Bettas like. I've have his tank light on the same timer of my planted tank and it's on for 12 hours. Is this too much for a betta to handle.There are no live plants in his tank so it doesn't really need to be on that much. What do you think?
there is no need for so much light try to just put the betta somewhere in the house where the sun lights up the whole room
but not direct sun so the room stays bright throughout the day.
Bettas sleep at night like humans do. So I think 12 hours is fine. I just have my tank where the sun acts as a light. That way you can't go wrong. He sleeps when the sun is down, and is awake when the sun is up. LOL.
