For those that may find it as interesting as I do; the Iditarod starts tomorrow - actually that is the ceremonial start and the actual race starts Sunday.
Some of it can be followed for free and there are always beautiful pictures of the country and the dogs. Those of us who follow it and join in the activities get very little sleep for about nine days following the mushers and dogs via GPS and interviews at the rest stops. I believe you can join the forums for free also, but even if you can't log in there is a lot of interesting reading. I have been a member for years. www.iditarod .com

There are a couple of levels of subscriptions starting at $19.95 and going to $33.95 plus registration is free and some of the vidoes and other activities are included. ADN.com is the Alaska newspaper and they will have a daily section devoted to the race also. *crazysmil
