after watching my ghost shrimp for awhile to see if they where eating flakes that fell to the bottom.. ( pestsmart told me they had to have sink pellets).. i saw my one ghost shrimp suck up a flake, and the other one i saw eating a ball of poop.. i hope hes not gonna get salmonella from eating poop!

meh, i dont think they actually eat the poop. they might take a nibble because they get it confused with food, but once they actually realize what it is they just spit it back out.

Whether they actually eat the poop or not, they're in no danger of being harmed. For the records salmonela is very unlikely to exist in your fish tank, and if it did it would pass right through the shrimp and they would never notice.
