Gouramis throw up?

i have three gouramis and when i feed them they like choke the food back up after they ate it. i dont know if they ate to big of bites and coughed it back up or the food is nasty tasting to them? its a tropical fish food. the guy at petco said it was the best for gouramis. im kind of worried, please help!

lol you mean they just spit it out a while after taking it in their mouth?
that's normal if theyre adjusting to a new diet. also dont just feed them one type of flake. you may want to expand to freeze dried and frozen foods as well.

I know when I catch fish alot of times I'll find fish puke in the livewell. usually half digested fish but other things are mixed in it. I'm guessing it is caused by stress so it may be relative to ur situation.

yes animals will throw up sometimes because of stress. their sympathetic nervous system is going to tell their stomach to throw up and lose the "extra weight" in order to get away from a threat faster.
