with all those fry they have every month i dont think they will. unless the waters where they live become polutted

you should have a mabe i would vote for that the reason being they breed fast but people feed them to other fish.

There are already some wild species of livebearers that are endangered in their natural habitats, especially in the Central American SW United States regions.

Colsea makes a good point. I don't think they'll ever be endangered as a species because they breed so readily in captivity...but the possibility of them becoming extinct in the wild is a good possibility just like every other living animal.
