Do Snails reproduce asexually?

I've had my snail for 2 months, and only now are little ones showing up. Do they reproduce asexually, or do they store eggs for a long time?

I believe most reproduce asexually, but they can do it sexually, if that makes sense. A single one can swarm your tank, at least the ones you don't like, but its proportionate to how much food you feed them. You may have just been feeding them just enough to have them not reproduce until now.

snails are hermaphrodites.snails have both organs and are self inseminateing.some are even live bearers.

well, not all are hermaphrodites. snails likes black mystery, and apple snails are not hermaphrodites. you need to get male and a female to breed those snails. those pesky native snails (that ride home with you in plants) are hermaphrodites. with only one, it can infest your tank by lying and inseminting its own eggs

They have basically 2 options.If there are at least 2 snails in your tank, they will most likely reproduce sexually.But if you happen to have only 1 snail in the tank;when the time comes it will reproduce asexually.The snail can be either gender to reproduce asexually. And the time period is about a week or 2 and you will have on avg 5 to 7 more snails. So the snails have both options.
