Joe,
I ordered the tap water purifier this morning.  It will be here wednesday or thrusday most likely.  My plants will arrive Wednesday.  I'll have to go ahead and plant them.  Will my hard water hurt them unill I can get the water changed???????

no the water shouldnt hurt the plants over a couple of days. it should be fine. ;D

Franky, just a little word of caution. I had the tap water filter for something like 3 weeks and it ran out at 15 gallons of water purified. With this water purifier, it all depends on the composition of the water. If you have a high amount of total dissolved solids, then it wont be effective. This problem was fixed for me becuase I just used my brothers RO from his saltwater tank.
