im am about to move my baby red bellies from a 10gallon to a 29gallon. can someone explain to me the steps of doing this right. i need to move the pirana befo hy get to big

AS LONG AS THE 29g. IS CYCLED AND THE SAME TEMPERATURE AS THE 10g u can probably just net the lil buggers and plop them into their new home. but if u wanna be safe u can put some of the 29g. water into the 10g. to acclimate them to the water theyll be going into.

If the 29 is a new tank, just take the gravel and filters off the 10 gallon and use it in the 29. The water carries pretty much no bacteria and is only good to keep a constant ph should you have a different ph in your tank and your tap water. You can use the water if you dont do many water changes so the change in nitrates is not too drastic...but for the most part, as long as you use the filters off the old tank you will be fine.
