anyone know much about these, specifically about breeding and telling male/female apart? I'm skeptical about these coz they sound WAY too good to be true! Thanks!

I've kept them in a community tank years ago. Both genders can tend the test if the male is docile enough to allow it. I had one male that refused to let his mate anywhere near the nest, and two that had 'join custody' and took turns fanning/replacing eggs that fell out of the bubbles.

This site has a lot of info if you haven't found it yet:

um yep I found that site :) thanks anyways...
I can't find ANYTHING on how to breed them. Annoying...
No different from the more common bettas, except you can keep the males/females together. I had one male that had two 'wives' and would build two nests. He would tend them both and let the wives tend the nest that they had laid eggs for. He would defend one nest from the female that didn't belong (just chased her away, no nipping).
