I'm super interested in fish and am constantly getting on the computer to check to see if this breed is compatable with this other breed or how large this breed gets. Instead of getting online (and getting highly distracted *twirlysmi) each and every time I want to check something, I want to purchase an encyclopedia-type book.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm looking for a lot of information in one place basically.
I saw a few books at PetSmart, but I didn't have enough time to stop and look at them. :(

DK Publishing's Encyclopedia of Aquarium and Pondfish. All the info you could want on the different breeds. It has sections for fresh, salt, and pond setups; the plants and invertebrates appropriate for your setup. Beautiful pics thoughout, information on aquarium setup and cycling, AND a really useful section about common ailmentsand what to do about them. I bought it at Borders a few months back for $25.
