Algae Stains

Anyone got any tips for cleaning algae stains from rocks ???

what i use is 1 cup all purpose bleach to 2 cups water overnight. i havent tried it on rocks, but it works very well for my magnum canister filters. make sure you scrub them really well under tap water before putting back into the tank. i might even consider soaking them in water for a few days because they will absorb the bleach, the water will dilute the bleach even more, and it should be gone.

Ive read ,but have not tested, that putting algae in the sun will get rid of it too.

putting algae in the sun?
isnt that what caused it in the first place?
or do you mean put it in the sun out of the water?
so it would dry and then you could scrape it off?
