AquaVista Picture Frame Aquarium

AquaVista Picture Frame Aquarium

I just saw this on eBay which I thought was pretty unique. It’s an aquarium but as a picture frame. interesting…the ebay auction goes on to say…

The AquaVista 500 combines elegant design and proprietary aquarium and computer control technologies to make it virtually hassle free. It is only 4.5 inches thick and is completely automated. The aquarium’s technology and equipment is managed by an embedded user-friendly control interface that allows you to easily monitor and maintain the aquarium. The AquaVista 500 measures only 26 inches (length) x 26 inches (width) x 4.5 inches (depth). It holds approximately 6.6 U.S. gallons of fresh water. Our specially designed filtration system helps to keep the aquarium free of trouble. We have created an elegant turnkey system that adds style and life to any wall or room. Our patent-pending design creates a 3-dimensional live image.

Unlike other products with complex set ups, we have embedded sophisticated and proprietary technologies into the aquarium and have incorporated a simple, LCD control display panel that allows you to control and monitor filtration, temperature, oxygen, and lighting. We provide only the highest quality materials and offer interchangeable frames and backgrounds to suit your environment or personal taste. Minimal assembly is required. All you need to do is hang, add water, add fish, and most importantly, ENJOY!

6.6 gallon is a bit small but from just the picture alone, it does look pretty well-built. Never heard of anyone doing this before (but I’ve seen the fish tank tables but never a frame). Anyways, auction ends in 9 hours at the time of this post and it’s also approximately $337.38.

I’ve seen these before and I will say this looks like on of the better built ones. at only 4 inches wide stiocking would have to be done wisely. I bet a school of rummys would look sweet.

Thats kinda cool lookin 🙂 I suppose you could put a betta in it…it doesn’t really say much about the ‘specially designed filtration’ there could easily be issues with oxygen. Maybe if there was enough flow you could go for some harlequins or some other little type of fish.

They have those at my lfs, but they always advertise fish like angels so people think they are a good fish to put in those tanks. I think a school of galaxy rasboras would look really nice!
