Beautiful brown and red leaf colors add distinction to your aquarium. Ludwigia inclinata is not much different than other Ludwigia species of plants when it comes to care and aquarium placement. This variety makes an ideal mid-ground plant in mid-sized aquariums or background addition to smaller systems. When properly cared for, Ludwigia inclinata can grow to 16" high. Like other members of its genus, however, Ludwigia inclinata has high lighting and diligent fertilization requirements for optimal growth.
Native to Central and South America, Ludwigia inclinata has a high growth rate under ideal conditions. In fact, some aquarists have reported this plant to reach the water's surface in 45 and 90 gallon aquariums in less than one week. However, for most aquarists, Ludwigia inclinata is considered a slow growing plant with distinct care needs to achieve optimal growth and coloration.

To ensure best growth, fertilize regularly with micronutrients, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. Keep under high light intensity of 3 to 5 watts per gallon of full spectrum (5000-7000°K) light. This plant also prefers neutral pH. However, it is fairly adaptable to a wide range of temperatures and water hardness parameters, due to the fact that native species of Ludwigia inclinata thrive both as surface plants in boggy marshes and as submersed flora in fast-moving rivers.

very nice plant, grows like crazy, can be trimmed and replanted very easily, and fills outs nicely for fish to kinda hide in.
