Looks like it's all quiet over here in brackish so I'll answer..
Monos need salt, in increasing concentrations, as they grow. They tend to be sickly and prone to disease without it. Young can be raised in freshwater but need salt in the water as they mature, eventually requiring a salt concentration close to that of a marine tank.
They become more aggressive as they grow. I wouldn't be worried about aggression with giant danios but rather the incompatibility of water parameters.
I wouldn't buy them unless you can definitely provide them with a marine environment as adults.
