What's up with my tetra?

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you had any ideas or advice on what might be the problem with my tetra? It's only one out of the three that is affected, has lost some colouration, looks a little lumpy and I have spotted one white spot on its tail..really hoping it's not ick. I have only spotted the dot today, but the colour has been missing since yesterday.

how long has this been happening? i know it's hard to figure out sometimes if you keep a bunch of them. i've had that happen before where one out of the group will just look kinda sickly like in your picture. however i opted to not treat the entire tank incase it wasn't ich.

has it been like picked on? how about feeding time? does the tetra eat?

We've been watching them quite closely, and we've only spotted the dot today, but tetra looked discoloured yesterday, possibly the day before but we're only sure of it today.
Swimming and eating normally, just a bit concerned. He's also the biggest of the three.
The smaller one hides a lot, but I figure that's just because it's the runt.

Look up "Neon tetra disease" and see if the color loss looks like that.

It would probably be a good idea to hold off on adding new fish for a few weeks, to make sure no one else starts showing symptoms.

Yeah, we're keeping an eye on them all to see if anything else develops. The other two tetras look okay at the moment, but they're being carefully watched.
