Vieja synspila

I found a pair of these guys Vieja synspila about 2.5-3" long, I also found conflicting info online, such as max size, and some say peaceful some say aggressive, any one have experiences with this fish they would like to share.

Beautiful fish. They get over a foot long and mild to aggressive tempers.

Thanks for the response, I purchased both fish yesterday now I'm hoping I don't regret it, It looks like I have 1 male and 1 female, or maybe 1 alpha and 1 omega, either way 1 is displaying lots of color, the other has the colors but not as bright or vivid.
