type of gourami?

I bought 2 gouramis from lfs that he said were a type I had not researched and am now having trouble finding pictures to match the kind. They are apparently blood red gouramis and they are not quite like the pictures of fire red gouramis i have seen, they are paler near head and blending into pink/red near back. Does anyone have links as to exactly what type and size they get to, etc.

They are probabley dwarf gourami. And all dwarf gourami are the same species. Breeders just make up their own color variation names, kinda like what they do with guppys

But pictures would be nice

its probably just a color variation, you know shade and briteness of their colors. Their just really pretty dwarfs.

That does sound interesting though.
