hi my guppies have had babies and r hiding in plants
ive heard i should feed them mashed up hard boiled egg yolk
should i or just give them small flakes

yeh i also have some babies to raise, look for tips and things not to do. What i did was buy some fry food its called like Hikari Frist Bite

For the most part yes. I think it is important to seperate the babies into another tank or a breeding net so that the adults don't get them. I thought my tank was pretty well planted and had plenty of places for the fry to hide...but apparantly not. If I want to save fry I need to move them away from the adults.

I have my first babies right now...i'm feeding them baby brine shrimp...they LOVE them!
