Ok everytime I turn on the light for the tiger barbs and the red eyes they zoom around the tank and seem to hate the light being oin.

So then when it's off they are very happy fish swimming ever so nicely.
WT heck do I change the light out to a lower watt or what?

Any advise is welcomed

Hmmm... well I am not sure why they would do that. It seems odd behaviour to me.

How long do you have the lights on for each day?
Is the tank getting any direct sunlight?
Do you turn the lights on and off through the day when you are/aren't around?

hmm. Ok.

I asked those questions to make sure the light was a constant factor like nature, and not something that goes on and off all day sort of deal.

What wattage is the bulb you are using over your 10G tank?
Are there any other inhabitants in the 10G other than the 4 redeyes and the 2 TB?

Actually I found some infor on another site about the barbs...

The tank should be set up in dark colors, densely planted, but leaving open spaces for swimming. Puntius species like to burrow into substrate, so the bottom material should be soft in nature. The Brachydanio species are sun loving, and only display their full liveliness under bright lighting.
