spring cleanup

we did the pond clean out today. all the fish made it through the winter without a problem. the only loss was a cluster of water hawthorn.the lilies and the bog plants are all starting to push out buds.

im leaving the fishing string across the water untill i get some good plant cover for the fish.

last year mid augest.its hard to imagine the pond will look that full in 5 or 6 weeks.

Beautiful! I wish I lived back at my parents house so I could help get her pond up and running and start the landscaping, right now the fish are in the smaller upper pond because the plumbing wasn't quite done when it got a bit too cold, so as soon as we can get out there, hopefully I'll have some nice pics to share too!

i would love to do simething like that in my back yard... but my parents arent that into fish.
