So I really do think that my snails (I have two, a yellow one and a black one) have laid eggs.... I don't know for sure if they are apple snails... I tried looking at that applesnail.net site, but it confused me and weather they are apple snails or something different.

So what happens to the eggs? I can't seem to find a time line of how long it takes them to hatch etc...

Tonight I found more bits of egg cluster (I'm thinking my breed of snail doesn't do a good job of sticking the eggs all in one spot) but I also now have little teeny inch worm looking things swimming around...

so whats the deal? Is this planaria or is this the baby snails? this sucks LOL

and to think, snails were my fav! I don't want a whole slew of them though!

The inch worm things are not baby snails. Newly hatched apple snails look pretty just just like an adult, but the shells are a little more transparent.

I want to say that it took the clutch about a week to hatch. If you don't want all those snails you can remove the clutch and just toss it.
