I have two good sized black mystery snails in my smaller tank, and today I noticed that they were on top of eathother (totally out of the shells, soft sides touching) and I'm a little worried that they are breeding.
Is there any way to tell if they are actually breeding or if they are just cleaning themselves off? and how can you tell who is who?

i find with mystery snails that they interact with eachother alot. If they are breeding you will notice the eggs as soon as they are layed, they are bright pink and will be in a large clutch just above the waters surface, if you dont want to have hundreds of snails you can easily wipe the clutch of the side of the aquarium and let them dry up, this way they dont have a chance to hatch even away from the aquarium. :)
