Silver Sailfin/Lyretail Molly fins turning orange--Why?

I've had my male Silver Sailfin/Lyretail Molly for at least a year. I don't know when it started, but the tip of his dorsal fin has turned orange in these past months. I've noticed now, however, that the tip of his caudal fin is beginning to turn black, and it seems that some of the scales on his body have also turned orange.

Is this something I should be worried about, or is it just that he's getting older? I took some photos, but they're blurry because he moves around a lot. (I don't know how to make them larger in text boxes, so I guess you'll just have to click on them.)

I am not sure on your question but that is a great looking fish!!!! I am thinking about get 3 of them for my saltwater tank.

I know! I'm so glad I got him. I have another one upstairs in my QT, but he's young and I don't know if his dorsal will grow out. I hope it does!

Hmm. I wonder if that's just something that they do as they age.

You're right. It says that the males usually have that. Well, that's good. Now I don't have to worry about him.
