Awhile ago I noticed that my bettas stomach looked slightly bloated and was sort of whitish. He kept tipping on his side and was a little red around his gills. His fins were dicolored also. He looked almost dead, so I put some salt in the tank, because it is supposed to reduce stress. The next morning I went to the tank with a net, thinking I would have to fish out (excuse the pun ::)) a dead fishy. But he was better! He was still just a little discolored, so I put a mirror in front of him and gave him some bloodworms, and in 10 minutes, he was perfect. He still somtimes gets bloated, but I just put in some salt, and he is fine. Anyone ever hear of a disease like this, and is there a better treatment?

oooo. I'm sorry! :'( When I transfered my guppies and corys into a bigger tank, they all died kind of like that. They tipped over a lot. Once a cory was on his back. Did u recently do a drastic water change? How's your water quality? What size tank do u have?
