In the poll that started this section: Yo Yo loaches (I believe) were said to have bitten/eaten the eyes of someone's shrimp....? Are Loaches; mainly Yo Yo's incompatible with shrimp? (some, most?)

I'd like to have a small group of asian shrimp in my 55gal. (w/ asian barbs, yo yo's, sae, & asian plants)

Worth the risk of having them shipped from AZ to NY?

Yoyos seem to like to mess with any non-fish addition to the tnak. They pestered my FW clams for a week or more until they finally gave up trying to get inside of them. I really don;t think ghost shrimp would stand a chance with them. Maybe if you have BIG amanos and small yoyos, then they could learn that the shrimp are not food, and leave them alone, even when they grow up and become bigger than the shrimp. I've never tried this, but I have read about Anglefish growing up in the presence of neon tetras and leaving them alone when the Angels grow to full size.
